What is Builder Gel in a Bottle (BIAB)
A BIAB manicure uses Builder in a Bottle, a gel-like nail polish, which is applied as an overlay on your natural nails. It works very similarly to a normal gel polish, but as it has a thicker consistency it dries as a strong and durable layer – so you don’t have to worry about chipping your brand new nails!
What You Need to Know Builder in a Bottle
Because BIAB is slightly more flexible, it is less suitable for customers who do a lot of manual work or lead an active life where their nails are often bumped. Nail length: Builder in a Bottle works best on short to medium nails. It is important to emphasize that Builder In A Bottle is not suitable for lengthening nails.
How long does BIAB take to apply?
In general, it takes slightly longer than other gel services. Your manicurist should spend a good amount of time on perfectly prepping the nail, so block out around an hour and 15 minutes to an hour and a half

What is a Russian Manicure?
The name “Russian manicure” is believed to come about due to the clean, polished nature of manicures done by Russian nail technicians.

Customized treatment: As Maliknova mentioned earlier, a key step in the Russian manicure process is using base coats tailored to the unique needs of each client’s nails.
Non-toxic: Unlike other manicure techniques where length, shape, and design are prioritized, Russian manicures focus strictly on the health of your nails. No acrylics or toxic gel polishes are allowed. Acrylic extensions are harmful to your nails and your health, [so] we only offer non-toxic hard gel extensions.

Practical work:
Nail Preparation. Manicure preparation
-Safley push back the cuticle without damaging the delicate Matrix (the growing section of the nail).
-Buffing the natural nail without damaging the surface.
-Filing the natural nail without fraying the edges.
-Nail polish application in 3 strokes.
Tip Application
-Application of plastic tips without air bubbles.
-Choosing the correct nail tip.
-Positioning the right size tip for each fingernail Tip blending & shaping.
-Safe use of professional nail glue
Product Application
-Application of cover-pink gel
-Application of permanent French tip gel,
-Application of gel polish.
-Application of gel polish, leaving a perfectly smooth and straight line around the edges.
-Use of disposable and reusable forms for sculptured gel and acrylic nail extensions.
Followup and Maintenance Treatments
-Safe refill procedure techniques.
-Safe removal procedure. -Repairing a broken nail.
-Professional shaping: Square, Squoval, Stiletto, Coffin, long and short Almond.
Note: The exam class will be discussed with your tutor.
Note: You are required to do a portfolio, containing before & after pictures of 6 full sets of gel nail extensions, 4 sets of acrylic nail extensions, and 2 gel-polish nails, with completed consultation/ disclaimer & aftercare forms

You have everything you need in your student kit for up to 10 full sets of extensions.

Items you will need at home:
-Table (preferably with drawers to store your products that are sensitive to sunlight)
-2 chairs (preferably an ergonomic chair for yourself to protect your back) Tech Tip*** Always mind your back! Your -chair should be at the right height so your knees and hips are at the right angles.
-Table lamp with a bulb of at least 60 watts of white light.
-Tissues.
